One-Drive Free Cloud Storage : Available Worldwide

 kmsraj51 की कलम से …..

Soulword_kmsraj51 - Change Y M T

One-Drive is Now Available Worldwide: Free Cloud Storage for Microsoft, iOS, and Android Devices

Today we are thrilled to announce the global availability of One-Drive. For our existing Sky-Drive customers, you are all set; your files are ready in the new One-Drive experience. All you have to do is head over to www.OneDrive.com and log in. For those of you hearing about the service for the first time, One-Drive gives you one place for all of your files, including photos, videos, and documents, and it’s available across the devices you use every day.

When we announced the new name OneDrive, we noted how it is much more aligned with our vision for the future. Our goal is to make it as easy as possible for you to get all of your favorite stuff in one place—one place that is accessible via all of the devices you use every day, at home and at work. Because let’s face it, until now, cloud storage services have been pretty hard to use, and the vast majority of us still have our stuff spread out everywhere. In fact, according to a recent poll*, at least 77% of people who are familiar with the cloud still have content stored on a device that is not backed up elsewhere.

OneDrive-Microsoft-Collection2

We want to change that.

As part of that goal, we’re doing more than just changing the name with today’s release: We’re rolling out several new capabilities, including automatic camera backup for Android and the ability to share and view videos just as easily as photos. We’ve also added new ways for you to earn more storage—on top of the 7 GB we already give you for free. Customers who refer friends can now receive up to 5 GB (in 500 MB increments) for each friend who accepts an invitation to OneDrive, and we’ll even give you 3 GB just for using the camera backup feature, since we want to help make sure you never lose another photo. There’s even a new monthly payment plan, if you’d like a little more flexibility in how you use your storage.

Of course, OneDrive also builds on everything you know and loved about SkyDrive.

Available across every major device and platform

We’ve built OneDrive into the latest versions of Windows, Windows Phone, Office, and Xbox. You can even make OneDrive your default storage option, so you never have to worry about whether you are saving files to the cloud: They are just there. If you happen to carry an iPhone or Android phone, or use an iPad, Android tablet, Windows device, or a Mac—OneDrive is available there, too.

The best way to store, view, and share photos and videos

The deep integration with so many of the products you already use means you never have to worry about manually saving your photos and videos. And no more trying to sort out what video format to use—it just works. Plus, Start screen integration with Windows 8.1, and even Xbox slide shows, means there are countless ways your favorite photos and those photos shared with you come to life. And with OneDrive, you can share photos or videos directly to Facebook or via email with one click. You can even record and share gameplay from your Xbox One.

Perfect for sharing documents

OneDrive is built in to Office as the default save location, so you can see the recent documents you were working on and pick up right where you left off, even if you switch devices. With real-time co-authoring using the free online version of Office in OneDrive, you can work on Word, Excel, and PowerPoint documents simultaneously with colleagues or family, and see edits as they happen in the latest version of the document.

Built for businesses, too

With OneDrive for Business, companies can give their employees the ability to store, sync, and collaborate on files across multiple devices with ease, manageability, and security. Not only does OneDrive for Business deliver an intuitive experience for employees, allowing them to seamlessly collaborate on documents right from within Office, but it is also backed with enterprise-grade content management, compliance, and administrative controls. Stay tuned for more about OneDrive for Business at the upcoming SharePoint Conference.

To celebrate the official launch of OneDrive, today we will also give 100,000 people 100 GB of free storage for 1 year. That’s 10 PB of free storage—enough storage space for a photo of everyone on the planet. If you want to be one of those 100,000, keep an eye on @OneDrive for clues.

We are excited to share OneDrive with you today, and look forward to hearing what you think. For more details on how to get started, including step by step instructions, just visit www.OneDrive.com.

List of approved Distance Education Universities in India

kmsraj51 की कलम से …..

National-University-of-Singapore-NUS

Distance learning institutes in India have witnessed a remarkable rise in student enrolment crossing the 10 million mark. While experts in the distance and online education domain agree that this mode is amongst the best to increase the gross enrolment ratio in higher education (30 percent by 2020), it is the quality aspect in offering such courses which is of prime concern. Hence Careers360 is bringing to you the list of approved Distance Education universities in India.

The sole regulating body in the country for distance education, the Distance Education Council (DEC)–[http://www.dec.ac.in/]  has been granting approval to the institutes to offer courses that must follow certain standards and guidelines. While choosing the institute for distance education, you must keep in mind to select the approved ones. For that, having a list of approved Distance Education universities in India is necessary.

We have prepared the list of approved Distance Education universities in India by DEC (as of 2012) that follow a three-tier process; that of scanning institutional information comprising infrastructure, faculty, delivery system, student support system etc; visit to institutions by experts; and approval of programs evaluated for content, quality and self-instructional nature of the course.

The following table gives you the list of approved Distance Education universities in India:

BEAUTY: SUGAR AND YOUR SKIN

kmsraj51 की कलम से …..

BEAUTY: SUGAR AND YOUR SKIN

We all know that sugar isn’t good for us, but there’s little we can do about life’s guilty pleasures – a little chocolate post dinner, the last piece of mithai, the latest cupcake place in town and so on. But realistically speaking, how much good or harm can sugar do to your skin? We did a little research of our own and came up with some findings. Warning: It isn’t good news.

sugar-and-your skin-3-things-you-should-know-500-300-kmsraj51

Inflammation
When you eat sugar rich foods, your body directs all of its efforts to break them down causing inflammation on your skin. Scientifically speaking, here’s what happens – The sugar in your body releases glucose which immediately attaches itself to collagen, the protein responsible for the elasticity (and age) of your skin. Over time, this sugar makes your collagen rigid, affecting its ability to keep your skin healthy, the effects of which show up on your skin as lines and wrinkles.

Damage
Your body has three different kinds collagen – Type 1 which is the most fragile and Type 3 which is the most strong. Glucose not only weights down the collagen but it also weakens it by breaking Type 3 into Type 1, making your skin age faster and become more vulnerable to damage from external factors such as sun damage and pollution.

Dehydration
The more sugar you have, the more your intake of liquids should be. Sugar dehydrates your skin by sucking out all the water from skin cells causing your skin to feel undernourished and thirsty resulting in sagging.

Fighting it
We know that cutting out sugar from your diet can pose quite a challenge (for most of us), we can reduce the damage caused by loading up on anti-oxidants which prevent sugar from attaching itself to the collagen. Look at it this way, for every bar of chocolate that you eat, have an orange to supplement it. The better your intake of Vitamin C and E (found in fresh fruits, nuts and veggies) the better your chances of protecting your skin from the detrimental effects of sugar.

REBOOTING YOUR ENERGY

kmsraj51 की कलम से …..

Soulword_kmsraj51 - Change Y M T

LIFESTYLE: REBOOTING YOUR ENERGY

Most of us are familiar with post lunch drowsiness. The way to beat the afternoon blues is a power nap. Experts say that a 20 – 30 minute nap is just what the doctor ordered. Our body needs rest in the middle of the day especially in the afternoon, even after a good night sleep and the ideal time for this nap is between 1:00pm to 4:00 pm. This is because that’s the period when you feel gloomy and low in energy, and a nap works to revive you like nothing else can.

Enhanced learning and good-memory

Power napping improves the function of the central nervous system in the entire body. A power nap for at least for 20 minutes approximately after eight hours of work will do more for your stamina than sleeping an extra 20 minutes in the morning. It strengthens your memory, increases efficiency towards your work and crafts awareness.

FIVE DIVINE DRINKS TO AGE-PROOF YOUR SKIN!!

kmsraj51 की कलम से …..

Soulword_kmsraj51 - Change Y M T

LIFESTYLE:

FIVE DIVINE DRINKS TO AGE-PROOF YOUR SKIN

Did you know that over 90% of skin ageing is caused by environmental factors? Protecting yourself from harmful UV rays by means of an effective sunscreen lotion is your first line of defense against the sun, no matter what the season is. But there’s more you can do. Here’s our guide to ingredients that guarantee healthy and glowing skin all year long.

5-divine-drinks-to-age-proof-your-skin-kmsraj51

Coriander & jalepeño lemonade
Pumped with antioxidants , coriander aids in detoxification while jalapeño boosts metabolism. High in Vitamin C, lime juice will keep your body’s defenses intact and protect against external factors like the weather.

Custom-made green shake
Make your very own healthy green shake by following the simple 1-2-1 rule. Pick one green veggie (spinach, lettuce or broccoli), any two fruits (grape , apple, orange, melon, papaya, pineapple, banana, mango, kiwi, carrot , peach, cucumber or pear), one base for the shake (soy milk, skim milk, yoghurt, fruit juice or water) and blend. Slurp that green shake for breakfast every day and see the difference in your skin within the week.

Amla juice
Drink fresh gooseberry (amla) juice on an empty stomach every morning to control your body’s heat and strengthen its defenses against skin ailments. A good blood purifier, amla juice  increases your red blood cell count, leaving you with a glowing complexion free of any blemish or impurity .

Oolong tea
Oolong or Black Dragon tea is a rich polyphenol tea that can help delay the ageing of skin and the appearance of dark spots and wrinkles. Clinical trials of this tea have confirmed that drinking it 2-3 times a day is effective in combating radical damage to the skin.

Banana, strawberry & mango smoothies
Full of healthy calories, tropical smoothies—sweet and chilled—are an ideal pick-me-up to spruce up your day. Sure to leave your skin healthy and well hydrated, you can blend the perfect smoothie using an array of fresh fruits (from bananas to strawberries and mangoes) with yoghurt, keeping it fresh, healthy and delicious!

Freedom From The Dependency On The New

kmsraj51 की कलम से …..

Soulword_kmsraj51 - Change Y M T

Freedom From The Dependency On The New (Part 1)

One of the dependencies that the consumer society promotes is dependency on the new. You have a car but today a new, better one is coming out. You have a mobile but the new one on the market today has more features and yours is now obsolete. The same thing happens to the television, MP3 players, DVD players, etc. Today you have some clothes but tomorrow the fashion will be different. We find the need to fill ourselves with more and more. This way an addiction to the new is generated. We get bored quickly and we need something apparently new and different all the time.

Some people need to buy new clothes all the time because it makes them feel better; they ‘feel’ the newness, is this normal or is it actually an addiction to the new out of boredom, is it discomfort with oneself and the inner need to impress and please others that sometimes some people seem to possess. It is actually living in the superficiality of the pair of jeans or the saree, not in the inner essence of being or soul. It is to use time to distract oneself and not to construct creatively. It’s not as if buying new stuff or going shopping is wrong but when it becomes a dependency, when it becomes a source of boosting your self esteem, that’s a sign that you are going wrong.

Freedom From The Dependency On The New (Part 2)

In the market, there always appears the novelty (newness) of the same product wrapped differently. There always seems to be a new soft drink, a new kind of chocolate, but they are really the same products as always. The only thing that changes is the packaging and their image. Some children, whenever they go to the market, want the new kinds of biscuits, pastries, etc. They always want new things that then stay in the fridge. We encourage this by telling little children that happiness is stimulation, the new is stimulating, and comes from the outside or you get it from the outside. We create an addiction to the new; in this case, to the newness of the packaging. What kind of newness is that!

When, in order to be happy, you need to go shopping, you try to fill yourself with something that isn’t you. You try to find wholeness by filling your life with material things. A soul who is spiritually awake knows that they are already complete and they do not need to depend on the purchase of something new regularly for feeling full internally. The only effort is in remembering and reconnecting with their whole self, their complete self; reconnecting with their inner treasures of spiritual wisdom, virtues and powers.
