♦ समय का सदुपयोग। ♦

पुनः प्रभातं पुनरेव शर्वरी पुनः
शशांकः पुनरुद्यते रविः।
कालस्य किं गच्छति याति यौवनं
तथापि लोकः कथितं न बुध्यते॥

फिर से प्रभात, फिर से रात्रि, फिर से चंद्र, और फिर से सूरज का उगना ! काल का क्या जाता है ? कुछ नहीं; यह तो यौवन जाता है, फिर भी लोग कहाँ समझते हैं? आज हम सभी यांत्रिक युग में जी रहे हैं।

आज हमारे पास ऐसे ऐसे यंत्र हैं जो वे सभी काम कुछ ही पलों में कर देते हैं जिन्हें करने में हमारी पूर्व पीढ़ी को लम्बा समय लगता था। आश्चर्य तो इस बात का है कि तब लोगों के पास व्यायाम से लेकर त्योहारों, रिश्तेदारों, परंपराओं इत्यादि के लिए पर्याप्त समय था।

आज जब यंत्रों की सहायता से चुटकियों में काम हो जाते हैं फिर भी लोग कहते हैं कि उनके पास किसी भी बात तक करने के लिये समय नहीं है।

किन्तु मुझे ऐसा कहना उचित नहीं प्रतीत होता। मैं इस बात को इस तरह कहूँगी कि आज लोगों के पास समय ही समय है किन्तु समय का सदुपयोग करने का विवेक नहीं है।

कहा जाता है कि कुदरत किसी के साथ पक्षपात नहीं करती। सबको कुदरत के उपहार समान रूप से मिले हैं जैसे कि जल, वायु, धूप इत्यादि। परन्तु हमारी पारिवारिक, सामाजिक एवं भौगोलिक परिस्थितियों के चलते हमें ये प्राकृतिक उपहार भी कम या अधिक मात्रा में उपलब्ध हो सकते हैं।

इस जगत में केवल #समय ही एक ऐसा अनमोल उपहार है जिसमें कोई पक्षपात नहीं। राजा हो या रंक सबके पास अपने निजी २४ घंटे।

ये भी सही है कि समय एक ऐसा विमान है जो बिना ईंधन के लगातार उड़ता है परन्तु अच्छी बात ये है कि इस विमान के पायलट हम हैं। पायलट जितना कुशल होगा उड़ान उतनी अच्छी होगी।

काल कोई सा भी हो प्राचीन या वर्तमान, जब-जब जिसने समय खोया वो अन्त में पछताया ही है। प्राचीन काल की कहानियों में प्रायः निकम्मे – परिश्रमी, शेखचिल्ली – आलसी पात्र होते थे वे उस समय के लोगों को समय का महत्व बताने के लिये ही रचे गये होंगे।

पुरातन काल से लेकर अब तक के किसी भी व्यक्तित्व के बारे में यदि नज़दीक से जानेंगे तो हर एक सार्थक, प्रेरक व्यक्तित्व में यह एक विशेष गुण अवश्य मिलेगा कि उनकी सफलता और ओज का कारण उनका समय प्रबंधन रहा है।

जिसने समय साध लिया उसने लोक, परलोक अपना जीवन, अपने सम्पर्क में आने वाले अन्य लोगों का जीवन भी साध लिया।

इस विषय पर असीमित लिखा जा सकता है किन्तु अन्त में बस यही निवेदन करना चाहूँगी कि मित्रों ‘#समय अनमोल है’ ये किताबी बात नहीं है। आज़माया हुआ सत्य है। इसे व्यर्थ न गँवायें।

अपना समय क्रोध, पछतावा, चिंता तथा ईर्ष्या में मत ज़ाया करें। दुखी रहने के लिए ज़िन्दगी बहुत छोटी है। पल – पल का उपयोग करें ताकि पछताना न पड़े।

ऑनलाइन पढ़ा रहे, कैसा आया काल।
बच्चे तो सब मस्त हैं, शिक्षक हैं बेहाल॥ – 1

नित शरारत नयी करें, गायब बारम्बार।
दण्डित कर सकते नहीं, शिक्षक हैं लाचार॥ – 2

पढ़ने का तो नाम है, खेल करें सब शिष्य।
पल दो पल के बाद ही, दिखे नया परिदृश्य॥ – 3

जब से शिक्षण जगत में, पनपा भ्रष्टाचार।
ज्ञान दीप की लौ बुझी, शिक्षा अब व्यापार॥ – 4

दिन प्रतिदिन घट रही, शिक्षक की पहचान।
सीमित शिक्षक दिवस तक, शिक्षक का सम्मान॥ – 5

शिक्षक पुष्प पलाश सम, औषध से अनुबंध।
जिसकी जितनी ग्राह्यता, उतनी भरे सुगंध॥ – 6

अमरशक्ति के पुत्र सभी, अभिमानी मतिमंद।

अनुचित शिक्षण दे रहा, मानवता पर घाव।
गुरुकुल पद्धत का पुनः , हो अब प्रादुर्भाव॥ – 10

नीति वचन गायब हुए, शिक्षण हुआ अशुद्ध।
बालक फिर कैसे बनें, अब्दुल, नानक, बुद्ध॥ – 11

विद्युतीय हैं श्यामपट, गूगल शिक्षण स्रोत।
झलक दिखा कर लुप्त हों, बच्चे ज्यों खद्योत॥ – 12

अब गरीब का बच्चा उच्च शिक्षा नहीं ले पा रहा।
क्योंकि अब तो शिक्षा हो गया है नोट छापने वाला व्यापार॥

♦ Education and Manners : Two Sides of One Coin ♦

It’s perfectly said by someone —

“A gentleman is not defined by the content of his wallet or the cut of his suit. He is defined by his manners and the content of his character.” -Anonymous

Therefore, rather than saying, education and manners are two sides of one coin, I would like to say that manners is education. And I’m not saying this metaphorically, it’s the fact.

Education doesn’t mean a large amount of knowledge on one or more subjects nor the number of diplomas, degrees and certificates you possess that can define how educated you are.

The word education is generally misunderstood. The person who has the ability to read and write is considered as educated. In fact, the term literate is more appropriate for such a person.

Any individual who has done masters in any field of science, commerce and literature, the term scholar, genius, learned or any other such adjective can be applicable to define his or her persona.

Now, the question arises if academic qualification is not education then what is education?

In my opinion, your manners to lead your life is education. Art of living is education.

When school, colleges, Gurukulas were not in existence, people were both educated as well as uneducated by their manners and etiquettes. You can acquire qualifications in any subject to make a living. Nothing wrong in being skilled in any of the fields of your choice to make money.

Qualification in any particular subject can make you a doctor, an engineer, a scientist, an industrialist, a manager, a lawyer, a chairman and so on. But it can not make you polite, kind and civil. It can not erase anger, jealousy, greed etc. from your heart. For this you have to educate yourself through moral values.

Any successful person can make money to buy all types of luxuries like an expensive cozy bed, mattress, food items, electrical appliances, attractive furniture, decorative pieces, royal vehicles etc. but not even a richest person in the world can buy sleep, hunger and happiness.

Your knowledge is judged by your mark lists or certificates you get after qualifying various exams and competitions set for it but education is judged by your behavior, gentility, the way you talk and walk and nevertheless your capability to solve the problems without getting panicked and losing your temper.

The simplest way to explain education is your manners. Education and manners are synonyms. Manners refine you. There are innumerable rich and successful people in the world but only those who have manners are appreciated and set an example for upcoming generations.

It’s not their wealth, magnificent palace or lavish lifestyle which is discussed by the people but their manners and behavior is talked about.

Being mannered is more beneficial than being rich and knowledgeable. I don’t mean to say that you shouldn’t be rich and a scholar. I am just talking about what is more important between being bright and mannered.

Combination of knowledge and wisdom makes you adorable wherever you go.
Be a millionaire but remain down to earth.

We all have heard innumerable true stories of many successful people. Let us divide them into two categories and observe the difference ourselves : —

What happens when an ill mannered person becomes rich and successful?
What happens when a mannered person becomes rich and successful?

The people in the first category after getting a little success and money in their life will be boastful, conceited, aggressive, impudent, insolent, egoistic and self – admiring. Wrapped up from toe to top in superiority complex such people invite unhappiness and misery for life time not only for themselves but also for everyone they meet. Not even the members of their own family feel comfortable and relaxed in their presence.

Their wealth and cosy fascinating surroundings cannot replace their lofty words and scornful attitude. People wait for their departure and feel happy in their absence.

Second Category

On the other hand, the people in the second category after getting success and money in their life will emerge as polite, thoughtful, sympathetic, sober, compassionate, helpful, well behaved, sensible and rational individuals.

They automatically turn into philanthropists and play a pivotal role in the society by their deeds and speeches. Whatever they do and say, set examples to teach the importance of values.

They won’t be seen behaving arrogantly with anyone. Therefore, these are the individuals who can be called the real gems of society. Further generations remain indebted for the contribution they make for them to be inspired by.

If you are mannered you will be respectful to everyone irrespective of the academic qualifications you have. Manners matter.

Gain knowledge but don’t lose your sensitivity. Be aware of the feelings of others. Choose any profession of your choice but don’t ever forget to be a better human being. As all of us, first, are human beings and then doctors, engineers, advocates, lecturers and so on. First of all we are human, therefore developing human qualities is manners.

Manners can’t be taught. They are inbuilt.

Only we have to develop them to be a better personality. The hallmark to be an extraordinary person lies in your manners and attitude. Nobody will care for your beauty and richness if your manners are ugly. In the end I would like to conclude with the words quoted by Diana Mather —

“ Good manners are ageless, priceless and classless.”

Be mannered first as good manners are your wealth.

मेरा ईश्वर से विश्वास उठने ही लगा था कि।

♦ मेरा ईश्वर से विश्वास उठने ही लगा था कि। ♦

बचपन से सुनती आयी हूँ कि –
पत्ता भी नहीं हिलता ‘उसकी ‘ ( प्रभु की )
मर्ज़ी के बिना ….
फिर भी इंसान रह नहीं पाता अपनी
ख़ुदगर्ज़ी के बिना…
वर्तमान दौर में ये अटूट विश्वास
हिलने लगा था।

‘रब’ है ही नहीं, ऐसा ही लगने लगा था।
सारे मीडिया यंत्र दहाड़ रहे हैं,
मृत्यु के मंजर पर गला फाड़ रहे हैं।

अब लोग ईश्वर की मर्ज़ी से
या आयु पूरी होने पर नहीं मरते।
ईश्वर उनके प्राण नहीं हरते।
अब तो ख़ुदा कोई नया आ गया है,
जिसे विप्लव मौत का बहुत भा गया है।

ये भी सुना था और पढ़ा था बचपन से:
‘हर सौ वर्ष में एक महामारी फैलती है धरा पर-
जो निगल लेती है असंख्य ज़िंदगियाँ’।
और वसुन्धरा का हरापन –
जैसे चेचक, हैज़ा, टीबी इत्यादि।

कुछ अतीत की हैं महामारियाँ,
सभी प्राणघातक बीमारियाँ –
असंख्य जानें चली जातीं थीं।
फिर टीके बनते थे,
जो बच जाते थे उनको लगते थे।

फिर से वही दौर आ गया है-
फ़र्क़ ये है कि पहले टी वी नाम का
मूर्ख बक्सा नहीं था – इसलिए
जिन्हें वो रोग हो गया वे रोग से मर जाते थे।

कम से कम बाक़ी अफ़वाहों और भय से,
से बच कर सुरक्षित रह जाते थे।

जनसंख्या हज़ारों में थी – सैंकड़ों मरते थे।
जब जनसंख्या लाखों में हो गयी तो हज़ारों मर गये।
अब करोड़ों में है तो लाखों मर रहे हैं,
पर अब आविष्कारों के दुरुपयोग से।

रोगी रोग से और निरोगी रोग के भय,
से मर रहे हैं/ जो बचे हैं वो भी डर रहे हैं।
ईश्वर की भूमिका तो समाप्त हो चली है।
नये ईश्वर से अब ये सौग़ात ए मौत मिली है।

अब सबकी मृत्यु का ज़िम्मेदार या तो ‘प्रभु
कोरोना’ है या फिर देवी असुविधाएं या देवी दुर्व्यवस्थाएँ।

न उम्र न कोई अन्य रोग न लापरवाही,
कुछ बुद्धिजीवी यही चर्चा रोज़ कर लेते हैं।
एक दूसरे को चिन्ता की डोज़ दे कर,
कुछ देर सरकारों को कोस लेते हैं।

संवेदनशीलता दिखाने का सबसे सरल,
और टिकाऊ तरीक़ा है बुद्धिविलास।
और फिर सामर्थ्य अनुसार वाणी विलास,
बहुत से गुरू, शिक्षक सकारात्मक ज्ञान देते हैं।

गिलास आधा ख़ाली है के स्थान पर गिलास,
आधा भरा है ऐसा कहना सिखलाते हैं।

ताकि सकारात्मकता आये,
तो समाचार- कोविड से इतने **** मर गये ,
इसके स्थान पर इतने ***** बच गये।
क्यों नहीं कह सकते ?

अर्थात् गिलास आधा भरा है ये क्यों नहीं कह सकते ?
आख़िर बचने वाले मरने वालों से तो ज़्यादा हैं न।

ये भी कहेंगे- पर अभी नहीं-
कोविड ख़त्म होने के बाद अपने भाषणों में,
हाई – फ़ाई होटल के कमरों में ‘मोटिवेशनल स्पीच’ में
ये दौर जब चला जायेगा-

तब सकारात्मक संदेशों के वृक्ष पर,
उदाहरणों का बौर आयेगा।
जिनका स्रोत इस नकारात्मकता से ही तो आयेगा।
तब ये सबको बहुत भायेगा।

ख़ैर – मुझे इस राजनीति में नहीं पड़ना,
बस भरोसा भगवान पर कैसे लौटा ये है कहना।
तो – मुझे भी लगने लगा था कि
ईश्वर नाम की कोई सत्ता नहीं है अब।

पड़ोस के एक वृद्ध के बारे में पता चला तब,
कि वे क़रीब एक साल से मृत्यु की गोद में पल रहे हैं –
और अभी तक यमराज को छल रहे हैं-
आयु अस्सी के आसपास है।

प्राणघातक रोग से ग्रस्त हैं,
घर के लोग भी अब उनसे त्रस्त हैं।

कोरोना पॉजिटिव भी हो गये थे,
अपने आप नेगेटिव भी हो गये।
हॉस्पिटल वो जा नहीं सकते,
डॉ ० घर पर आ नहीं सकते।

जाँच रिपोर्ट के अनुसार उन्हें न दवा
बचा सकती है न दुआ।
पर वो अब तक बचे हुए हैं।
परिवार पर बोझ से लदे हुए हैं।
अपनों की ही ज़िल्लत सह रहे हैं।

जिन्हें खिलाया था गोद में वही,
‘कब मरेंगे ‘ मुँह पर कह रहे हैं।

ये बात मैंने अपनी एक मित्र को बतायी,
उसने भी मुझे एक ऐसी ही घटना बतायी।
धीरे – धीरे मुझे ऐसे बहुत से लोग मिले,
जो अनेकों रोगों से थे घिरे।

महीनों से कटे वृक्ष की तरह बिस्तर पर थे गिरे-
पर प्रभु कोविड भी कुछ न कर सके।
तब कहीं जा कर मेरा खोया विश्वास लौट आया।
और फिर मैंने ईश्वर की मर्ज़ी को सर नवाया 🙏🏼
ईश्वर की सत्ता पर भरोसा जताया।

Dwelling down the memory lane,
when I recall my childhood days,
planting a seed in the ground,
is the most delightful reminiscence.

Transformation of a seed to a sapling,
And from sapling to a big hefty tree,
taught me a lifetime lesson, how to
start a journey from scratch, gradually.

This surveillance motivated me a lot.
When a tender twig is prepared to face,
thundering storm, wind, rough weather
to attain glorious heights from surface.

Then, being born as human with brain,
nothing should be impossible in my case,
Why should I give up due to hurdles on
my way, Isn’t it just a temporary phase.

How easily we’ll blame circumstances
for not getting success in a particular task,
And put several excuses and try to cover,
our weak efforts wearing a fake mask.

No, no, no a ‘ Big No ‘ I decided to say
to all negativities and ill minded people.
Who always love to make fun ridiculously
and don’t let anyone to be successful.

This thought made me calm and tranquil,
and instilled in me a fervour or courage.
Consistently and diligently, I too began,
my odyssey to grow from ‘Grass to Grace.’

I have seen people
blaming today’s technology
For spoiling their health n children

They say vehemently
All revolutionary creations are
Responsible for this destruction

They argue for hours
To describe the negative effects
Of wireless new age electronic gadgets

How our dependency
On these unavoidable devices
Is making us lazy and emotionless

But the truth is
Except weapons no contraptions
Is made with ill intentions

Enormous amount of
Hard-work has been invested
By some kind hearted geniuses

They worked consistently
And diligently all their life
To serve human beings by their visions

Our own inability
In handling these devices
Is the root cause of all the crises

Our addiction to technology
Will make this boon a curse
So no point to blame inventions

Our command over it
Can make us free from all stress
And will keep it at our services

मैं धीर भरी सुख की बदली।

♦ मैं धीर भरी सुख की बदली। ♦

मैं धीर भरी सुख की बदली।
बदली दुनिया मैं भी बदली।

हो पीर भले चाहे जितनी।
जीना अब मैंने सीख लिया।
जो शूल बिछे पथ में मेरे,
वो शूल हटाना सीख लिया।

कंटक पथ पर, उर साहस भर।
मासूम कली मैं चल निकली।
मैं धीर भरी सुख ………
बदली दुनिया मैं ………

नैनों से चाहे नीर बहे।
हिय से अनुराग बहाती हूँ।
यूँ ही नहीं मैं इस सृष्टि की,
अनुपम रचना कहलाती हूँ।

असुरों का वध करने को अब,
खुद आयुध लेकर चल निकली।
मैं धीर भरी सुख ……..
बदली दुनिया मैं ……..

नीरव नीरस गृह को मैं ही,
मधुर सुरों से भर देती हूँ।
निर्जीव खड़ी दीवारों की,
जड़ता सारी हर लेती हूँ।

कण – कण घर का महके ऐसे,
मानो सुवासित बयार चली।
मैं धीर भरी सुख ……..
बदली दुनिया मैं ………

केवल भीतों के आयत से,
होता है निर्मित सदन नहीं।
गृहलक्ष्मी बन कर आ जाऊँ।
बस जाता है फिर भवन वहीं।

मंगल गायन उत्सव पूजा,
लगती हैं सको बहुत भली।
मैं धीर भरी सुख की ……..
बदली दुनिया मैं ………..

हो जाऊँ मैं पल भर ओझल।
अनुपस्थिति मेरी बहुत खले।
दृष्टि पड़े जब भी मुझ पर तो,
मुख पर सबके मुस्कान खिले।

केवल मेरे होने से ही।
सूरत सबकी है खिली – खिली।
मैं धीर भरी सुख की बदली।
दुनिया बदली मैं भी बदली।

औरों की गलती पर मैंने,
अब नीर बहाना छोड़ दिया।
नभ तक परचम फहराया है।
धारा का रुख़ ही मोड़ दिया।

निज सक्षमता के बल पर ही,
लाचारी पीछे छोड़ चली।
मैं धीर भरी सुख की बदली।
दुनिया बदली मैं भी बदली।

That Very Week

Kmsraj51 की कलम से…..

♦ That Very Week ♦

Just for a week or so
I was bound to stay at home.
As I was sick and on medication,
had no freedom to roam.

That very week I felt
so sad, bored and helpless
and realised how important
the freedom is, It’s priceless.

As a human being I had,
options like reading, watching TV
talking to my friends on phone
and other things to keep myself busy.

But all those options proved futile
to compensate the joy of freedom.
All indoor activities couldn’t
erase the feelings of boredom.

That very moment I got
connected with the plight
of my poor bird, captive
in a small cage day and night.

Unable to express his pain
sad, sorrowful, as if forced to die.
I felt guilty why could I never feel
or noticed his silent cry.

With a heavy heart I got up
and freed him from the cage.
I’ll never keep any creature
imprisoned, I took the pledge.

For the first time I heard
his melodious chirping voice.
Gleefully he fluttered his wings
and merrily made the noise.

His joyful gesture gave me
immense pleasure, “Go away and fly high”
I said with a big smile – “You are
born to touch the sky.”

If We Wish We Can

If we wish we can use our tongue
instead of our fingers
for conversation.
To do something unique
let us give wings to
our imagination.

Who can stop us from
reading, writing, music
and meditation.
Being little innovative
we can knock – down
the lock down.

Nobody can lockdown
our creativity.
From dawn to dusk
enough time to indulge
in a new activity.

It’s time to realise
the difference between
need and greed in reality.
Being little productive
we can nock – down
the lock – down.

Who can lock – down
love and care.
To work on relationships
it’s an perfect opportunity.
It’s time to do self – introspection.

Time to come out of
rigid shell of community.
Let us be human and show
kindness and humanity.
Being little human
we can knock – down
the lock – down.
